Argentina 0-0 Uruguay
Originally, the decisive game for the championship, like all the others, was to take place in the Gimnasia y Esgrima stadium in Buenos Aires. But due to the overcrowding of the stadium due to the onslaught of around 16,000 visitors, the crowd finally spread to the field. As a result, the game had to be stopped after five minutes. The crowd, who did not agree with this decision to cancel, then set the stands on fire, which destroyed the stadium. The next day, the match in Avellaneda, today's suburb of Buenos Aires, continued in the sixth minute on the football field of the Racing Club .
