José Jaime González Pico (born July 28, 1968 in Sogamoso ) is a former Colombian cyclist .

Athletic career

José Jaime González was a mountain specialist. He won the mountain ratings at the Vuelta a Colombia in 1993 and 1994 as well as the Giro d'Italia in 1997 and the Giro in 1999 . In 1994 and 1995 he also won the overall ratings of the Vuelta a Colombia .

In 1996 he won a stage in the Tour de France and one each in the Giro in 1997 and 1999.

In 2001 González ended his cycling career after a breakage occurred in him . In later years he served as the sports director of the Colombian Army's cycling department.
