Attractions

  • Chartreuse de la Verne : About 12 km to the east is the former Charterhouse in a lonely forest landscape. The important monastery complexes from the 12th to 18th centuries are currently being extensively restored. The winding and partially unpaved path there is passable up to the Charterhouse. The facility can be visited except in January, on some public holidays and on Tuesdays.
  • Notre Dame des Anges : About 16 km north over the "Col de la Fourche", 536 m high, you reach the chapel on the highest point of the Massif des Maures (779 m). In addition to the sacred building, there are accommodations for pilgrims and a small cloister . The place in front of the chapel offers wonderful views.
  • Massif des Maures : The mountains are a popular excursion landscape. A particularly beautiful road to the south leads to Le Lavandou with its charming beaches on the Mediterranean.
  • Menhirs de la Ferme Lambert , Stone Age cult site
