content

The plot is a few years before that of the movie of the same name and tells the story of the characters' history. The television series is about the hostility of the two fictional villages Oberrieslingen and Unterrieslingen. The plot revolves mainly around the two families Häberle and Rossbauer, who have been enemies for generations. The only point of contact for the people from Oberrieslingen and Unterrieslingen is a common church. The north German pastor Kai-Uwe Köster who has moved here wants to end the enmity between the two villages. With a criminalist zeal, he tries to unravel the web of secrets, confusions, love stories and misunderstandings from the confessions of the Rossbauers and Häberles.

background

The shooting for the first season took place from July to October 2012 in Ludwigsburg and the surrounding area. The television series, like the previous film, was produced by Fortune Cookie Filmproduction by Ulrike Grote and Ilona Schulz.
