The EBSA Snooker European Championship 1999 was the eighth edition of the European Billiards and Snooker Association hosted European Championship in Snooker . It took place from May 27 to June 6, 1999 in Enschede , the Netherlands .
Belgian Björn Haneveer became European champion with a 7-0 win in the final against Welsh David Bell .

The 54 participants were initially divided into eight groups in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top two in each group qualified for the final round, which was played out in the knockout system .
