Under the name Heimatkrimi , Bayerischer Rundfunk produced crime novels from various Bavarian regions. From 2008 to 2014 a film was published annually in the regional program Bavarian TV .

Since 2014, no other BR-home crime was initially produced specifically for the regional program, because the other films with Commissioner Kluftinger were first sent while the Eberhoferkrimis were produced as films.

background

The film adaptations of Bavarian regional crime novels are characterized by their humorous, bizarre and sometimes satirical acts. Appropriate backdrops such as Munich , Starnberg , Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Simbach, Rottalmünster, Bad Griesbach, Kempten , Memmingen , Bamberg , Frontenhausen and others were chosen as locations .

In 2014 ORF started a similar crime series under the title Landkrimi .
