Groupama-FDJ is a French cycling team founded in 1997 and based in Moussy-le-Vieux .
organization
Team manager Marc Madiot's team was sponsored from the start by the French state lottery Française des Jeux . In March 2018, the insurance group Groupama became the first name sponsor. The bike outfitter is the frame manufacturer Lapierre . Wheelsets and groupsets are provided by Shimano . The team had a budget of around 6.5 million euros in the 2006 season.
After the team had a ProTeam license from 2005 to 2010 , it took part in the races of the UCI WorldTour and the UCI Continental Circuits in 2011 as a Professional Continental Team . For the seasons 2012 to 2014 the team was licensed again as a ProTeam.
The team is a member of the Mouvement Pour un Cyclisme Crédible (MPCC for short; German movement for credible cycling). Until 2010, this team also included a track cycling team.
