Rating
The winning nation of the FIS Team Tour was determined using a points system. The winner was the nation that had finally achieved the most points in the five World Cup competitions in ski jumping and ski flying.
For this purpose, all points of the entire team from the team evaluations were included in the point evaluation. From the individual competitions, the points of the two best jumpers of a nation were included in the overall point evaluation.

Klingenthal
Due to strong winds in the Vogtland-Arena, which did not allow regular jumping, the planned individual competition was moved from Wednesday, February 14th to Thursday, February 15th. The competition started at 10 a.m. that day, but changing wind conditions kept interrupting the race. The competition was completely canceled at 11:44 a.m. Thus, no results from Klingenthal were included in the overall ranking of the FIS Team Tour 2012.
Oberstdorf
Single jump
The German Stephan Hocke had qualified, but did not start in the first round.
Martin Koch won with the best distance of the day of 221.5 meters in the end, clearly ahead of second-placed Japanese Daiki Ito. With third place, Simon Ammann reached the podium of the top three for the first time this season. Andreas Wank reached 13th place with a personal best of 209.5 meters.
In the overall ranking of the FIS Team Tour, the Austrians were able to work their way up from fourth to one. This was also possible because the Norwegians couldn't place any of their jumpers in the top ten.

Team jumping
The competition was repeatedly interrupted due to snowfall and changing winds. In the course of the competition two falls occurred: that of the Pole Piotr Żyła went off lightly. Peter Prevc (Slovenia) was not so lucky as he reached the hill record of 225.5 meters but could not stand the distance. He suffered injuries to his left shoulder ligaments and was out for the rest of the season. However, its distance secured the Slovenian team victory over Austria and Norway, as the team competition was canceled after one round.
