Faverges-Seythenex is a French commune with 7,606 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Haute-Savoie department in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Faverges in the Arrondissement of Annecy .
It was created as Commune nouvelle with effect from January 1, 2016 through the merger of the previous municipalities of Faverges and Seythenex .

location
Faverges-Seythenex is the southernmost municipality in the Haute-Savoie department. It is located within the Massif des Bauges regional nature park . Neighboring municipalities are Doussard in the northwest, Talloires-Montmin in the north, Saint-Ferréol and Val-de-Chaise in the northeast, Marthod in the east, Mercury in the southeast, Plancherine and Jarsy in the south and Giez in the west.
