The soccer regional league Mittelrhein 1952/53 was the fourth season of the highest soccer amateur class in the area of the soccer association Mittelrhein under the designation Landesliga . The Landesliga Mittelrhein was located below the 2nd League West on the third level of the German league football at the time and was played in two seasons. Middle Rhine champion in 1953 was SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 .

Championship and German amateur championship
The two season winners determined the Middle Rhine champions in the two legs:
- SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 - SpVg Frechen 20 6: 1
- SpVg Frechen 20 - SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 0: 1
The SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 then took part in the German amateur championship in 1953 . Bergisch Gladbach prevailed in the preliminary round against FV Hockenheim 08 , FSV Schifferstadt and FC 08 Villingen and defeated VfL Sindelfingen 4-0 in the semifinals . In the final in the Wuppertal Stadium at the Zoo on June 28, 1953, SV Bergisch Gladbach 09 defeated Homberger SV 3-2 and became German amateur champion in 1953.
