The Football Oberliga Westfalen 1990/91 was the 13th season of the Oberliga Westfalen . The championship was secured for the first time by SC Verl , one point ahead of ASC Schöppingen . In the promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga , the Verler took fourth place in the northern group and thus missed promotion. Runner-up Schöppingen qualified for the amateur championship and took third place in the northern group. The following season 1991/92 of VfB Hüls , SC Hassel and VfB Rheine descended into the subordinate Association League Westphalia . These were replaced by the season winners of the association league, FC Gütersloh (season 1) and VfL Gevelsberg (season 2). The list of participants for the 1991/92 season was completed by Preußen Münster, who was relegated from the 2nd Bundesliga.
