Special features : The 11: 0 was the highest victory and at the same time the first double-digit victory in World Cup history. Birgit Prinz and Sandra Smisek were the second and third German players to score three goals in a World Cup game. Previously, only Inka Grings had succeeded in this at the 1999 World Cup . Both the first and the last goal of the game came from a German corner kick, which the Argentine goalkeeper Vanina Correa steered into her own net. Correa was therefore listed as a two-time own goal scorer during the game, and FIFA only credited the goals to the German corner goal scorers (Behringer and Lingor) on the following day.
