Fuji Rock Festival
Fuji Rock Festival is a three-day rock festival that takes place annually in the Japanese Naeba winter sports area ( 苗 場 ス キ ー 場 , Naeba sukī-jō ) in Yuzawa .
Japanese and international music groups perform there on seven different stages. In 2005 more than 100,000 visitors attended the festival. The "Green Stage" is the main stage, which is designed for up to 40,000 spectators.
history
The festival started in 1997. The first festival was organized near Mount Fujisan . Hence it gets its name, "Fuji Rock". In the first year the festival was destroyed by a typhoon . In the second year the festival was moved to Toyosu, Kōtō , Tokyo . In 1999 it was moved to Naeba.

In 2006 the festival ran from Friday, July 28th to Sunday, July 30th.

2007
The festival took place from Friday July 27th to Sunday July 29th. The following bands could be seen on the stages: Muse , Kings of Leon , Clap Your Hands Say Yeah , Juliette and the Licks , Beastie Boys , The Cure , Mika , Kaiser Chiefs and The Chemical Brothers .
2008
The festival took place from July 25th to July 27th, 2008.
The following bands appeared, among others: Bloc Party , Travis , Kasabian , Spoon , My Bloody Valentine , Gossip , Blackmarket and Ling Tosite Sigure .
