Gädheim is a municipality in the Lower Franconian district of Haßberge .

location

The community is located in the Main Valley , about twelve kilometers from Schweinfurt and ten kilometers from the district town of Haßfurt . Gädheim is located in the Main-Rhön planning region and on the southern edge of the Schweinfurt Rhön .

history

Until the church is planted

Gädheim was first mentioned in a document in 1151. As part of the Hochstift Würzburg, which from 1500 belonged to the Franconian Empire , Gädheim was secularized in 1803 in favor of Bavaria, then in the Peace of Pressburg in 1805 left to Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg , with which it finally fell to Bavaria in 1814.

Mayor is Peter Kraus (CSU). In 2014 he succeeded Egon Eck (Christian voter community) and prevailed against his competitor Horst Popp (Free voter community Gädheim) with around 56% of the votes. On March 15, 2020, he was elected for a further six years with 90.6% of the vote.

According to official statistics, there were no employees subject to social security contributions at the place of work in 1998 in the manufacturing industry and in trade and transport.
