Attractions
- The place has largely been preserved in its original state and, due to its strategic location, is a good example of a fortified village during the feudal period .
- The 13th century Château de Gourdon was rebuilt and expanded in the 17th century. It has been open to the public since 1950 and has been classified as a historical monument since 1971. The castle was bought by entrepreneur Laurent Negro in 1972 , but it remained open to the public. Today it houses a museum of Art Deco , antique weapons and paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries. The palace also has a terraced park designed by André Le Nôtre . The castle, the garden and the exhibits are owned by Laurent Negro 's son of the same name , who has earned a reputation as an art collector.
