Personalities associated with Guhrow

  • Heinrich von Kleist (1777–1811), writer, lived temporarily in Guhrow in the manor house. His father bought the small manor in 1781. Heinrich von Kleist and his six siblings sold the Guhrow estate to Ludwig von Wackerbarth, the owner of the neighboring Briesen estate, in 1797 .

The sports club in the village is SV 1912 Guhrow with football (Niederlausitz district league) and table tennis.
