Heinersbrück , in Lower Sorbian Móst , is a municipality in the Spree-Neiße district in the south of Brandenburg . It is part of the Peitz office .
geography
Heinersbrück borders the urban area of Cottbus in the southwest . The community is located in the traditional settlement area of the Sorbs / Wends . The Malxe flows through the municipality .
Community structure
The municipality includes the district of Grötsch (Lower Sorbian: Groźišćo ) and the residential areas extension ( Wutwaŕki ), Radewiese ( Radowiza ) and Sawoda ( Zawóda ).
history
Heinersbrück and Grötsch belonged to the Cottbus district in the Prussian province of Brandenburg since 1816 and to the Forst district in the GDR district of Cottbus from 1952 . Since 1993 the places have been in the Brandenburg district of Spree-Neisse.
On October 26, 2003, the previously independent municipality of Grötsch was incorporated into the municipality of Heinersbrück as a district in the course of the regional reform of Brandenburg.
Heinersbrück
In 1411 the community was first mentioned in a document as Henrichsbrugk ("settlement on the bridge of a Heinrich"). As the name shows, the history of the place is inextricably linked with the Malxe river. The Lower Sorbian name Móst means bridge . Heinersbrück is laid out as a typical, elongated street village. Since 1462 the place belonged in the rule of Peitz to the Electorate of Brandenburg of the Hohenzollern .
For centuries the village was characterized by large peasant farms; the population was predominantly Sorbian-speaking. Some customs have been preserved to this day, the traditional costumes were characteristic.
In October 1938 the place Radewiese in Heinersbrück was forcibly incorporated, the incorporation was reversed after the end of the Second World War . On July 1, 1950 Radewiese was again incorporated into Heinersbrück. The adjacent Jänschwalde open-cast mine has dominated the area since the 1950s .
Grötsch
The district of Grötsch was mentioned in a document as early as 1344 as Grods (from Old Sorbian gród , castle ). The town center is an anger village.
