Teichland , Gatojce in Lower Sorbian , is a municipality in the Spree-Neisse district in Brandenburg. She belongs to the Office Peitz , which has its administrative seat in the city of Peitz .
geography
The community is located in the southeast of the state of Brandenburg in Niederlausitz in the traditional settlement area of the Sorbs / Wends . Neighboring communities in the south and west are the city of Cottbus , in the north the city of Peitz , in the northeast Jänschwalde and in the east Heinersbrück . The northeast border is formed by the Malxe .
Community structure
The districts are Bärenbrück ( Sorbian Barbuk ), Mouse ( Hus ) and Neuendorf ( Nowa Wjas ). In addition, the residential areas Kleine Heide ( Mała Góla ) and Mouse Mill ( Husański młyn ) belong to the municipality.
history
Bärenbrück, Mous and Neuendorf belonged to the Cottbus district in the Prussian province of Brandenburg since 1816 and to the Cottbus-Land district in the GDR district of Cottbus from 1952 . Since 1993 the places have been in the Brandenburg district of Spree-Neisse.
The municipality of Teichland was created on December 31, 2000 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities of Bärenbrück, Mous and Neuendorf.
Bärenbrück was first evidently mentioned as Berenburg in 1400.

traffic
Teichland is on the main road 168 between Cottbus and Peitz and on the state road L 473, which connects the districts of Maus and Neuendorf.
