The handball GDR Oberliga 1967/68 was played for the first time only in indoor handball . The new champions became the SC Empor Rostock .

Championship course

After 1956 and 1957, the men of SC Empor Rostock won the indoor title for the third time. The decision had already been made one match day before the end of the league season. Last year's champions SC Dynamo Berlin were three points behind and could no longer catch up with Rostock .
