Highland Park is a municipality in Polk County in the US state of Florida with 230 inhabitants (as of 2010).

Highland Park is about 30 km east of Bartow and about 75 km south of Orlando .

Demographic data

According to the 2010 census, the 230 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 171 households. The population density was 191.7 inh / km². 91.3% of the population identified themselves as white and 3.0% as African American . 3.0% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 2.6% to several ethnic groups. 8.3% of the population were Hispanics or Latinos .

In 2010 children under 18 years of age and 43.7% of all households lived in 24.3% of all households with persons at least 65 years of age. 67.0% of the households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring). The average household size was 24.3 people and the average family size was 43.7 people.

21.2% of the population were younger than 20 years old, 20.9% were 20 to 39 years old, 21.9% were 40 to 59 years old, and 36.1% were at least 60 years old. The mean age was 49 years. 44.8% of the population were male and 55.2% were female.

The median annual income was $ 31,806, with 8.2% of the population living below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 100% of the population.
