Homer L. Pearson

Homer L. Pearson (born December 31, 1900 in Wheat Ridge , Colorado , †  June 9, 1985 ) was an American politician . Between 1947 and 1949 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado.

Career

Nothing is known about Homer Pearson's youth and schooling. He later worked as a florist. He also embarked on a political career as a member of the Republican Party . Between 1939 and 1946 he was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives ; since 1941 he was its president. In 1944 he was a substitute delegate to the Republican National Convention .

In 1946, Pearson was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado alongside William Lee Knous . He held this office between 1947 and 1949. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he no longer appeared politically. He died on June 9, 1985.
