Sterling Byrd Lacy

Sterling Byrd Lacy (born May 3, 1882 in Fredericksburg , Virginia , †  May 7, 1955 in Daytona Beach , Florida ) was an American politician . Between 1925 and 1927 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado .

Career

Nothing is known about Sterling Lacy's youth and schooling. He later moved to Colorado where he worked in the insurance industry. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Democratic Party . Between 1919 and 1921, and again from 1923 to 1925, he was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives .

In 1924, Lacy was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado alongside Clarence Morley . He held this office between 1925 and 1927. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . After the end of his time as Lieutenant Governor, he no longer appeared politically. He died on May 7, 1955 in Daytona Beach.
