George Milton Corlett
George Milton Corlett (born November 7, 1884 in Burchard , Nebraska , † February 16, 1955 in Phoenix , Arizona ) was an American politician . Between 1927 and 1931 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado .
Career
Nothing is known about George Corlett's youth and schooling. But he must have studied law and then practiced as a lawyer. At an unknown time, he moved to Monte Vista , Colorado. During World War I he served in the United States Army . Politically, he joined the Republican Party . From 1919 to 1921 he was mayor of Monte Vista.
In 1926, Corlett was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado alongside William Adams . He held this office between 1927 and 1931. He was Deputy Governor and Chairman of the State Senate . He died in Phoenix on February 16, 1955.
