Mark Anthony Hogan

· Mark Anthony Hogan (* 27 January 1931 in Denver , Colorado ; † 12. February 2017 ) was an American politician . Between 1967 and 1971 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado.

Career

Mark Hogan studied at Georgetown University until 1952 . Between 1952 and 1954, also in the final phase of the Korean War , he served in the United States Navy . He then worked full-time as a real estate agent. At the same time he embarked on a political career as a member of the Democratic Party . He was a member of the Colorado House of Representatives for two terms .

In 1966, Hogan was elected lieutenant governor of the state of Colorado. He held this office after a re-election between 1967 and 1971. He was Deputy Republican Governor John Arthur Love and Chairman of the State Senate . In August 1980 he took part as a delegate at the Democratic National Convention in New York , on which President Jimmy Carter was nominated for re-election, which was unsuccessful. After that, Hogan no longer appeared politically.

He died on February 12, 2017.
