I Know What You Want is a song by the rapper Busta Rhymes , in collaboration with the singer Mariah Carey and the rap group Flipmode Squad from 2003. It appeared on his sixth studio album It Ain't Safe No More .
The song was released in the spring of 2003 and became a hit worldwide. It reached number 3 in the US , Australia and the United Kingdom , and the top ten in many countries around the world. For Carey it was a high point after unsuccessful singles and became one of her most successful singles. The song is also featured on Carey's 2003 remix album The Remixes . The music video was directed by Chris Robinson .
