Interview Project Germany is a documentary film project that was produced in Germany in 2010. In 2011 the episodes were broadcast on the Internet at short intervals. The model for this was the internet documentary film "David Lynch.com presents Interview Project" from 2009 , which won two Webby Awards .

idea

"David Lynch presents Interview Project Germany" (IPG) is a trip all over Germany, two decades after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is not a documentary series based on a fixed script, with previously selected people - the randomness of the encounter and immediate authenticity are the focus of the five to seven minute episodes. Fifty people the IPG film crew met on the street, in the front yard or in front of the supermarket were asked about their lives in their natural surroundings. The team has found people from 19 to 93 years of age all over Germany, especially beyond the big cities. Many of them have never told their lives like this - of happiness in life, of sudden turns and lifelong searches, of failure and getting up again, of longing and love, faith and hope. Co-producer David Lynch presents all 50 portraits on the IPG website. As in the USA, Austin Lynch and Jason S. are responsible for the direction and camera work for the Interview Project Germany. “It was always said that the Germans are by far not as open-minded as the Americans when talking about their lives - but the people were surprisingly open and honest in front of our cameras. We also now understand the culture of the previously unknown country much better, ”said Austin Lynch and Jason S.
