Ismail Azzaoui (born January 6, 1998 in Brussels ) is a Belgian football player of Moroccan descent. The striker is under contract with German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg .

Career

societies

Azzaoui began his career at RSC Anderlecht and joined the youth team at Tottenham Hotspur in 2014 . He made five appearances in the U21 Premier League for the Spurs U21s . On August 14, 2015, he scored the goal to make it 2-2 in the 52nd minute in a 3: 3 against Manchester City under- 21s . At the end of August 2015, Azzaoui moved to the German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg . After playing for the second team in Regionalliga Nord and the A-Jugend in the UEFA Youth League , he made his Bundesliga debut on November 21, 2015 in a 6-0 home win against Werder Bremen .

In the 2017/18 season , Azzaoui played for Dutch first division club Willem II Tilburg and scored 5 goals in 27 competitive games. He then returned to Wolfsburg, but did not play a competitive minute for the Wolves in the 2018/19 season . In the 2019/20 season , Azzaoui will play for Wolfsburg's second team in the Regionalliga Nord.

National team

Azzaoui played end of May 2013. twice for the U15 selection of the Belgian Football Association . For the U16 national team he was used eleven times and scored two goals. With the U17s he first took part in the U17 European Championship in Bulgaria in May 2015 and reached the semi-finals with the team, which qualified them for the U17 World Championship in Chile . There he came with the team to the semi-finals.
