Jelena Vladimirovna Arshakova ( Russian Елена Владимировна Аржакова ; born September 8, 1989 in Barnaul ) is a Russian middle-distance runner.
At the European Athletics Indoor Championships 2011 in Paris, Arshakova won gold over the distance of 1500 meters with a time of 4: 13.78 minutes, ahead of the Spaniard Nuria Fernández . In the same year she reached first place at the U23 European Championships in Ostrava both over the distance of 800 meters with a time of 1: 59.41 minutes and over 1500 meters with 4: 20.55 minutes. In March 2012 she finished seventh at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul . Three and a half months later she became European champion over 800 meters in 1: 58.51 min at the European Championships in Helsinki .
In 2013 Arshakova was banned for two years due to abnormal hemoglobin values in her biological passport and all results were retrospectively canceled from July 12, 2011.
