Anna Alexandrovna Alminova

Anna Alexandrovna Alminowa ( Russian Анна Александровна Альминова , English transcription Anna Alminova ; born January 17, 1985 in Witschewschtschina , Kirov Oblast ) is a Russian middle -distance runner who specializes in the 1500-meter distance .

Life

The runner-up junior world champion from 2004 was eighth in the following season at the European Indoor Championships in Madrid .

In 2008 she finished eleventh at the Beijing Olympics . At the European Indoor Championships in Turin in 2009 , she won the gold medal over 1500 m and was sixth over 3000 m . In the summer she reached the semifinals at the World Championships in Berlin and was seventh at the World Athletics Finals .

In 2010 she came in seventh at the World Indoor Championships in Doha , but was disqualified after the substance pseudoephedrine was found during the doping control and was banned for three months for this violation of the doping regulations . At the European Championships in Barcelona she was sixth.

Due to abnormalities in her biological passport , she was banned for two and a half years (December 2011 to May 2014) and all results since February 16, 2009, including the 2009 indoor European championship, were canceled.

Anna Alminowa is trained by Gennady Suvorov and starts for the Dinamo club .
