coat of arms
Blazon : "In gold and black, wavy field divided diagonally to the right, a red Turk's cap lily on the right, a golden seven-spoke wagon wheel on the left."
The coat of arms was designed by the heraldist Heinz Ritt in 1982 and approved by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior on June 29, 1983 . The main colors black and gold refer to the former local rule of the Riedesel barons of Eisenbach . The wagon wheel with its seven spokes (= seven districts) indicates the agricultural character of the community. Finally, the Turkish lily from the coat of arms of the Vogelsberg district symbolizes that the community belongs to this district. The diagonal wavy line indicates the Lauter , which gives the community its name. |
