Large hill

HS140

The training for the third competition on the large hill took place on December 2nd, 2017 after the second competition on the normal hill. The competition took place on December 3, 2017. Only the best 30 jumpers of the overall World Cup were allowed to start. Since Anna Rupprecht wanted to spare her knee after her cruciate ligament injury the previous year and therefore decided not to start, only 29 athletes were registered. Since this was the first women's World Cup competition on this large hill, a new hill record was set. Katharina Althaus initially set this to 138.5 meters in the first round, which she improved to 139.5 meters in the final round.
