In order to cope with the rapidly increasing volume of traffic with industrialization and to make things easier for employees, Siemens reactivated the Fürstenbrunn stop of the Lehrter Railway in 1903 and expanded its railway facilities from 1905. To cross the Spree, Siemens built a makeshift bridge (against Charlottenburg's objection) in 1905 near the train station and expanded it in 1913 into a Rohrdammbrücke. | cards | |
