Ebert Bridge | center | The Ebertbrücke is a road bridge over the Spree between the Monbijoubrücke and the Weidendammer Brücke . It connects Tucholskystraße with Geschwister-Scholl-Straße. Since 1820 there has been a first crossing of the Spree at this point, which was replaced by a representative arch structure in 1893/1894. After renovation work during the construction of the north-south S-Bahn and a demolition at the end of the Second World War, there was no bridge at this point for almost 50 years. The steel girder bridge, which has existed since 1992, is a temporary solution. | cards
Edenkobener footbridge | Lankwitz | The Edenkobener Steg is a single-span riveted half-timbered construction over the Teltow Canal at kilometer 20.18. The pedestrian bridge is an extension of Albrechtstraße and connects the districts of Steglitz and Lankwitz in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. Around this point, the original Karl Lange Bridge was destroyed in April 1945. Before the Edenkobener footbridge was built, this footbridge spanned the port entrance from the Teltow Canal to the Steglitz freight port and was thus a towpath bridge for the towing railway. At the port facilities, bridges were built over the port entrance so that the locomotives could pull the ships past the port. | cards

(Railway bridge) Rudower Chaussee at the Adlershof S-Bahn station |
Adlershof | The three-part nameless bridge, which was completely renovated between 2005 and 2008, leads the Görlitzer Bahn over Rudower Chaussee and runs parallel to the Adlergestell . The first bridge at this point was built as a result of the relocation of the Görlitzer Bahn tracks on a dam and the construction of the Adlershof-Alt-Glienicke station from 1905–1907. The clearance between Rudower Chaussee and the lower edge of the bridge was less than normal, which often resulted in trucks getting stuck. The renovation work of Deutsche Bahn on its facilities, in particular the construction of the Adlershof S-Bahn station and its relocation directly to the bridge, necessitated the construction of a new bridge. A steel-concrete bridge was built with concrete abutments that contain staircases in the middle on both sides. The span is more than 40 meters because the Rudower Chaussee was widened in this area from 15 to 34 meters. The three parallel bridge segments are 5, 8.3 and 15 meters wide. A transfer point between the S-Bahn and trams or buses was created directly under the station bridge. The new building cost around 25 million euros. | cards

The specified permissible headroom is 3.0 meters. The bridge railing of the girder bridge consists of steel profiles. The bridge was repaired and renewed and renewed in 1992 with the gap closure after the fall of the Wall . This railway underpass is remarkable because after the CSCE 1975 the establishment of a north crossing with transit traffic from West Berlin to Poland and Scandinavia was discussed. A continuous opening of the Oranienburger Chaussee as a transit road was not possible because of the duck's bill . This position was therefore discussed in 1976 with a tour of the former Zerndorf plant as a northern border crossing from West Berlin. The bridge over the Zerndorfer Allee already existed in 1925 and led the avenue from the garden city of Frohnau to the Vorwerk Zerndorf and on to Stolpe (Kirschenallee). Eldena road bridge | Friedrichshain | The Eldenaer Straße Bridge leads the Eldenaer Straße , which then continues as Scheffelstraße in the Berlin-Lichtenberg district , over the Ringbahn . In the Berlin street directory, this bridge is listed as the "Scheffelstrasse Bridge", although Scheffelstrasse ends at the Lichtenberg district border in front of the bridge. On the map of Berlin 1: 5000 only the name Eldenaer Straßebrücke is shown. It is a simple reinforced concrete construction that was built in the mid-1920s to cross the tracks without crossing and was renewed in the 1990s. Length 82.5 m, width 22.2 m. The bridge runs over both S-Bahn tracks and in the second section over the long-distance train tracks, with a ramp in between. | cards

Elsen Bridge | Friedrichshain / Alt-Treptow | The Elsenbrücke is a road bridge that connects Friedrichshain and Alt-Treptow. It was named after Elsenstrasse, which originally led up to the bridge. In 1951, a pioneer unit of the Soviet Army built the Stralau Bridge, a 218 m long road bridge on a wooden substructure, to the east of the Ringbahn Bridge. It established a road connection to the center of Berlin without having to cross the West Berlin district of Kreuzberg . In the 1960s, the sharp increase in traffic required an efficient new Spree crossing. In 1968 the current Elsenbrücke was put into operation, the Stralau Bridge was dismantled in 1970. Significant damage to the structure was found in the summer of 2018, so the bridge is demolished and is expected to be rebuilt by 2028. | cards
Elsensteg | Neukölln | The pedestrian walkway, equipped with steps on both sides at the beginning, establishes a connection in the course of the Inn- / Elsenstraße and the Kiehl- / Weigandufer via the Neukölln shipping canal . The arch bridge consists of a clamped reinforced concrete arch on which the reinforced concrete walkway is elevated with brick pillars. A wrought iron ornament on both railings contains the lettering Elsensteg on bronze and the coat of arms of Neukölln underneath . The footbridge officially got its name on January 18, 1906, which goes back to the former Elsenbruch nearby ( Elsen = Low German name for Erlen , Elsenbruch = Erlenbruch ). It is very likely that the footbridge was built immediately before the name was given. | cards
(Elsgraben Bridge) | Ruhleben / Tiefwerder | Friedrich Neuhaus had the first wrought iron lattice bridge in Germany built over the Elsgraben in the middle of the 19th century . The moat, dug in 1832, navigable until 1886 and filled in again until 1930, connected the Spree to the Havel via the Faulen See and Stößensee . The name of the bridge is not known.
Emil Schulz Bridge | Lichterfelde | The Emil-Schulz-Brücke is a road bridge in Lichterfelde over the Teltow Canal at kilometer 17.01 of the artificial waterway. It leads the Königsberger Straße over the canal. The current bridge was built between 1963 and 1965 as a girder bridge in steel composite construction. The structure has a total length of approx. 65.0 m and a width between the railings of 27.61 m. The actual bridge structure spans a span of 47.0 m. At the end of 2007, a profitability study was commissioned to answer the question: “Repair or new construction” of the bridge. From an economic and technical point of view, it was decided to repair the bridge structure. Immediately by the bridge on the south bank is a towing engine from the former towing system of the Teltow Canal in a glass house. | cards
Ernst Heilmann footbridge | Kreuzberg | The slightly curved concrete footbridge from 1980 is a pedestrian and cyclist bridge that connects the Görlitzer Ufer over the Landwehr Canal with the southern Lohmühlen Island. It bears the name of the social democratic politician Ernst Heilmann who was murdered in Buchenwald . | cards
Ernststeg | Tegel | The Ernststeg is a pedestrian and cyclist bridge on the Ernststrasse over the Kremmener Bahn . In 1924, the first wooden pedestrian bridge with very steep wooden stairs was built in place of the previously existing level crossing. After the Second World War, the bridge was given flatter inclined stairs. In 1965 it was replaced by a steel structure with concrete steps. In 1983/1984, the new construction of the autobahn forced a new construction, consisting of a steel trough over the track system and two spindle-shaped ramps made of concrete. This was given a striking paint job in 1987. | cards
Ernst Keller Bridge | Britz | The Ernst-Keller-Brücke leads the Johannisthaler Chaussee between Britz and Baumschulenweg ( Späthsfelde ) at kilometer 30.68 over the Teltow Canal . Today's steel tied arch bridge with a suspended bridge panel was built in 2004. It replaced a girder bridge built in 1993 for 2.7 million DM with a steel superstructure and orthrophic plate. The replacement after only eleven years was necessary due to the new construction of the A 113 running parallel to the canal and the Johannisthaler Chaussee junction directly at the bridge. Immediately to the northeast, the “Fanny-Zobel Bridge” leads over the federal motorway. | cards
Eugen-Kleine-Bridge | Lichterfelde | The single-span girder bridge from 1955 leads Wismarer Strasse over the Teltow Canal . Its reinforced concrete deck rests on the upper flange of six steel solid wall girders, which are attached to the lower flanges at the level of the lower chords by riveted truss-like horizontal bracing. The bridge was named after the entrepreneur and Bergrat Eugen Kleine (* July 7, 1867, † July 31, 1928), who was buried in the Ostenfriedhof Dortmund . The bridge was at times the end point of the former tram line 71, which went into operation in 1925 ( Weißensee , Rennbahnstraße - Lichterfelde-Süd, Eugen-Kleine-Brücke). On the bridge is a memorial stone with a plaque in memory of the prisoners of the Lichterfelde subcamp of the Sachsenhausen concentration camp , which was located on Wismarer Strasse. | cards |
