Teltow-Werft 1 Teltow Canal.JPG Teltow shipyard bridge Zehlendorf The Teltow-Werft-Brücke (far right in the picture) was a steel towing bridge over the Teltow Canal at kilometer 15.50 of the artificial waterway. It connected the former Teltow shipyard with the towing systems on the Teltow south bank. This bridge was also used by pedestrians and cyclists. In the last days of the Second World War , it was destroyed, like almost all canal bridges and the operating facilities of the Treidelbahn. During the time of German division, a temporary bridge was built a few meters further west of the former bridge for the former column route of the GDR border troops, which was demolished in the early 1990s. Since 2002 there has been an advocacy group for the reconstruction of the Teltow shipyard bridge for better networking of the surrounding area. cards

Teupitzer Bridge 1 Neuköllner Schiffahrtskanal Berlin.JPG Teupitz Bridge Neukölln The arch bridge leads at the southern end of Teupitzer Straße over the Neukölln shipping canal and connects the Kiehl and Weigand banks at the " Fernheizwerk Neukölln AG". Like the street, it bears the name of the small town of Teupitz in the Schenkenländchen . cards

It was built at the beginning of the 20th century, but was destroyed at the end of the Second World War. Afterwards a narrow emergency bridge for pedestrians was built with wooden planks. Only since 2001 has a new road bridge been connecting the districts of Lichtenberg and Pankow. cards

It is located northeast of the Thielplatz underground station , but has no access to the platform. Like the avenue, the bridge is named after the Prussian ministerial director Hugo Thiel . The wrought iron bridge railings are adorned with ornaments of various animal figures. The entrance hall of the train station, which is kept in the expressionist style, is tiled inside with red-brown ceramics, in which the black panels created by Richard Kuöhl with depictions of animals and plants take up the figures of the bridge railings. cards
Berlin thielenbruecke 20050208 p1000323.jpg Thielenbrücke Kreuzberg / Neukölln The Thielenbrücke, built 1915–1917 instead of a wooden bridge from 1894, spans the Landwehr Canal and is located on the border with Berlin-Neukölln between Glogauer Strasse and Pannierstrasse. It is named after the Prussian Minister of Labor Karl von Thielen (1832–1906). It was restored in the 1980s. In 2006, a Berlin artist designed a temporary light installation on this bridge with 1600 illuminated mineral water bottles. cards

Torstrassensteg5.JPG Peat road footbridge Wedding / Moabit The pedestrian and bicycle bridge at kilometer 9.65 over the Berlin-Spandau shipping canal was built in 1979/1980. The construction between Torfstrasse and Friedrich-Krause-Ufer is a tied arch bridge, as a single-span girder with a tied arch lying in the bridge axis. The drawstring is the box girder, with cantilever arms widening on both sides from the middle to the ends. The bridge width is 4.3 m in the middle and 6.3 m at the end. This footbridge is a replacement for the peat road bridge that existed at the end of the 19th century and was used specifically for deliveries to a plastering plant. It was destroyed at the end of the Second World War. Only in 1968 was a new bridge built, which had to be demolished again in 1980. On the north bank, a little east of today's footbridge, there are still remnants of the old bridge piers in the bushes. cards

Treptower Bridge 1 Lohmühleninsel Berlin.JPG Treptower Bridge Kreuzberg / Alt-Treptow This Treptower bridge leads over the flood ditch of the Landwehr Canal to the southern tip of the Lohmühleninsel and connects Kreuzberg with Alt-Treptow. The monument-protected massive stone bridge is designed as a road bridge, but is no longer used due to the park-like character of the Silesian Bush and the Lohmühleninsel. It was built in 1852 (other information 1894) by Johann Jakob Helfft (around 1802–1869) with three water openings and arches and clad with red and yellow bricks, the span is 35 m. Around 1709 there was a previous bridge under the name Köpenicker Bridge , "over which the city of Viehtrift goes" . cards

Treptower Park Bridge Berlin.JPG Treptower Park Bridge Alt-Treptow The 8.20 m long slab bridge spans the Heidekampgraben in Treptower Park , which connects the Spree with the Britzer Zweigkanal via the carp pond . It is located south of the historic Gasthaus Zenner directly on the Spree. Like the four other parking bridges over the moat, this bridge also consists of steel girders with a span of 5.25 m after its restoration in 1995/96 and is provided with an 8 cm thick planking. The abutments are made of reinforced concrete and faced with clinker bricks . cards

Triglaw Bridge Rahnsdorf The Triglawbrücke is an approximately 50-meter-long steel - bridge in truss construction method in the district Hessenwinkel. It leads over the Spree - which is also called Müggelspree in this section - to a small island that is surrounded by the Spree in the north, the Dämeritzsee in the east and the Old Spreearm in the west and south. This spree arm was created as a result of a new breakthrough at the beginning of the 20th century. cards
