List of territorial changes in Saxony in 2009

The list of territorial changes in Saxony 2009 contains changes to municipal areas of the Free State of Saxony in the period from January 1, 2009 to December 31, 2009. These include, among other things, mergers and separations of municipalities, incorporation of municipalities into another, changes in the municipality name and Reclassifications from parts of one municipality to another.

In Saxony there were twelve changes to the municipal area in 2009, four of which were incorporated, one new formation, five reclassifications and two mergers of municipalities. All of the churches that emerged back then still exist today.
