List of territorial changes in Saxony in 1991

The list of territorial changes in Saxony 1991 contains changes to municipal areas of the Free State of Saxony in the period from January 1, 1991 to December 31, 1991. These include, among other things, amalgamations and separations of municipalities, incorporation of municipalities into another, changes in the municipality name and Reclassifications from parts of one municipality to another.

In Saxony there were 13 changes to the municipal area in 1991, including four incorporations, four name changes, a municipality separation, a reclassification and three amalgamations of municipalities. One of the resulting communities still exists today, the others were dissolved due to subsequent changes in area.

In 1990, after the establishment of the Free State of Saxony on October 3, there were no changes to the area.
