List of territorial changes in Saxony in 1992

The list of territorial changes in Saxony 1992 contains changes to municipal areas of the Free State of Saxony in the period from January 1, 1992 to December 31, 1992. These include, among other things, amalgamations and separations of municipalities, integration of municipalities into another, changes in the municipality name and Reclassifications from parts of one municipality to another.

In Saxony there were 29 changes to the municipal area in 1992, including twelve incorporations, two name changes, one reclassification and five amalgamations of municipalities. Nine municipalities moved from the state of Thuringia to the Free State of Saxony through a referendum . Thirteen of the resulting communities still exist today, the others were dissolved through later changes in area.
