The mainstream rock songs charts are music charts from Billboard magazine that list titles from the music genres mainstream and active rock by radio broadcasts. The Mainstream Rock Songs Charts were first published on March 21, 1981. The following list shows the titles that ranked number one in the 2000s . In addition, the title is highlighted, which occupied number one in the annual charts.
Nickelback had the most number one hits of the decade with seven titles, followed by 3 Doors Down , Godsmack , Linkin Park , Puddle of Mudd and Three Days Grace with seven titles each. Puddle of Mudd and Three Days Grace also managed to take first place in the annual charts twice.
