from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ewa Pajor is the reigning top scorer.

The list of top scorer in the women's Bundesliga includes all top scorer in the women's Bundesliga since it was founded in the 1990/91 season . The following section lists the most successful players and the most successful clubs. The top scorer will be the player who scores the most goals in a season. Since 2004 the top scorer, just like her male counterpart , has received the top scorer cannon from the kicker sports magazine . In the past 28 seasons, a total of twelve different players have been the top scorer in the Bundesliga.

The most successful player is Inka Grings , who has been the top scorer six times. Heidi Mohr , Birgit Prinz and Conny Pohlers were each top scorer with two clubs. First foreign scorer was in the 2011/12 season , the Äquatorialguineaerin Genoveva Añonma . In 2016 and 2018 , 17 goals were enough for the title. Inka Grings' 38 goals this season from the 1999/2000 season are a record . The FCR 2001 Duisburg made a total of seven times the top scorer of the season, including six times by Inka Grings. Eight times in a season, the champions also made the top scorer. This was the case in 1993, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2006, 2007, 2012 and 2018. The oldest top scorer was Conny Pohlers, who scored the most goals of the season in 2011 at the age of 32. The youngest top scorer in 1996 was Sandra Smisek, who was then 18 years old .

Since the Bundesliga was founded, a different number of games have been played per season as a result of mode changes. Between 1990 and 1997 the Bundesliga consisted of two groups of ten teams each. Each team had to play 18 games. In the 1991/92 season , two teams from the new federal states were included, so that the Bundesliga consisted of two penalty groups that played 20 games. The Bundesliga has been a single-track division since 1997 with twelve teams playing 22 games per season.
