List of German names of Bessarabian German places

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This list contains, in alphabetical order, the names of around 150 Bessarabian German housing estates, including manors in Bessarabia, including the year of foundation, the number of residents of German origin and the number of non-German residents in 1940.

The places were inhabited by Bessarabian Germans until they were resettled in the German Reich in autumn 1940 . The reason for the resettlement was the occupation of Bessarabia by the Soviet Union in mid-1940.

Another list (see below) contains settlements in Bessarabia in which Bessarabian Germans lived as a minority.
