MTV Europe Music Awards / Best Female

The MTV Europe Music Award for Best Female was one of the main prizes of the MTV Europe Music Awards until 2017. It was awarded when it was first presented in 1994. After it was suspended in 2007 and 2008, it is now being replaced by the Best Artist Award , which includes both genders. The most successful artist was Lady Gaga , who won the award three times. Christina Aguilera , Britney Spears , Jennifer Lopez and Madonna each won the award twice .
