MTV Europe Music Awards / Best Rock

The MTV Europe Music Award for Best Rock is one of two genre categories introduced at the beginning of the MTV Europe Music Awards . In 2002 the award was split into two parts and was also given the title Best Hard Rock Act . Linkin Park won the category most frequently with four awards , followed by Coldplay , 30 Seconds to Mars and Green Day with three awards each.
