MTV Europe Music Awards / Best Pop
The MTV Europe Music Award for Best Pop was first given in 1998. It is a genre category that honors artists and groups that can be assigned to pop music . The award was not given between 2007 and 2009.
The Anglo-Irish group One Direction has won the award three times in three consecutive years. Justin Timberlake , The Black Eyed Peas and Justin Bieber did this twice , with the latter two artists winning the award for two consecutive years.
