MTV Europe Music Awards / Best Video
The MTV Europe Music Award for Best Video is an award that was introduced in 1994. Originally named Best Director , it was first awarded to Whales Hobo Humpin 'Slobo Babe . Besides the Special Awards, it is the only award that is selected by a jury from MTV instead of the audience. Hey ya! , Born This Way and Havana also won Best Song at the same time . The most common winners were Katy Perry , Justice and Massive Attack , who each received the award twice. Perry and Beyoncé top the nomination list with five nominations. Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift are the only artists to receive the award for a video that listed them as co-directors.
