Macherio is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 7,489 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Monza and Brianza in Lombardy . The municipality is located about 6 kilometers north of Monza and about 20 kilometers northwest of Milan at the Parco della Valle del Lambro .
