Mark Kiprotich Muttai (born March 23, 1978 ) is a Kenyan sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

Muttai started at the World Athletics Championships 2009 in Berlin over 400 m, but was eliminated in the preliminary round. At the 2010 African Athletics Championships in Nairobi, he finished fourth in the individual competition and led the Kenyan team with Geoffrey Ngeno , Vincent Kiplangat Kosgei and Julius Kirwa as the final runners to the gold medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay . At the Athletics Continental Cup in Split , he came third with the African relay. At the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi he won the 400m and won silver in the 4 x 400 meter relay.

At the 2011 World Athletics Championships in Daegu, Muttai reached sixth place in the relay.
