Saul Weigopwa (born June 14, 1984 in Adamawa ) is a Nigerian sprinter who specializes in the 400-meter run .

At the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens , he competed in the Nigerian 4 x 400 meter relay . Together with James Godday , Musa Audu and Enefiok Udo-Obong , he won the bronze medal behind the teams from the United States and Australia in 3: 00.90 minutes . Weigopwa also started in the 400-meter run and reached the semi-finals.

In 2007 he won the silver medal with the relay at the Africa Games in Algiers . At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, he reached the semifinals again over 400 m. A Nigerian 4 x 400 meter relay did not compete there.

At the World Athletics Championships in Berlin in 2009 , Weigopwa was eliminated in the preliminary round in the 400-meter run. With the relay he finished eighth.

In addition, Saul Weigopwa was the Nigerian national champion in the 400-meter run in 2003 and 2004. With a height of 1.71 m, he has a competition weight of 75 kg.
