Djabir Saïd-Guerni
Djabir Saïd-Guerni ( Arabic سعيد قرني عيسى جبير, DMG Saʿīd Qarnī ʿĪsā Ǧabīr ; * March 29, 1977 in Algiers ) is a former Algerian middle-distance runner who became world champion over 800 meters in 2003 .
As an active track and field athlete, Saïd-Guerni was 1.87 meters tall and weighed 70 kg. In spring 2007, after numerous injuries, he announced that he had ended his career.

- 1996: Participation in the Junior World Championships 1996 in Sydney (800 meters: 1: 52.06 min - eliminated in the semi-finals)
- 1999: 3rd place World Championships in Seville (800 meters: 1: 44.18 min)
- 2000: 3rd place Olympic Games in Sydney (800 meters: 1: 45.16 min), African champion (800 meters: 1: 45.88 min)
- 2002: African champion (800 meters: 1: 45.52 min), 2nd place World Cup (800 meters: 1: 44.03 min)
- 2003: World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , 1st place (800 meters: 1: 44.81 min)
- 2004: 7th place Olympic Games in Athens (800 meters: 1: 45.61 min)
- 2005: 5th place World Championships in Helsinki (800 meters: 1: 45.31 min)
