MattyB or MattyBRaps, actually Matthew David Morris , (born January 6, 2003 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American rapper .
Career
MattyB's first videos were uploaded to YouTube at the age of seven . His first success was his single That's the Way from 2012. New songs and videos of his appear regularly, including a cover video with Vanilla Ice . In two videos he also sings with Cimorelli , in other videos he sings or dances with Tyler Ward , Perez Hilton and his cousin MarsRaps.
In 2013 MattyB started his first US tour as a headliner with concerts in various major cities. In 2014 he had his own web series MattyB's World on YouTube and, during the summer, the series MattyB Summer . In his YouTube channel MattyBVlogs he shows leisure activities such as excursions and sports. There are also Q&A videos (English: Questions and Answers, German: Questions and Answers) and challenges. At the beginning of 2019, his YouTube channel had been viewed over 5 billion times. In 2020 he already has over 13 million subscribers and a video with over 300 million views.
In 2016 he published his biography That's a rap . He also created the Youtube channels "funniflix" and bmusical this year. He would like to give his friends and other still unknown artists the chance to publish videos.
Private
Matthew David Morris has four siblings. He lives with his family in Gwinnett County, Georgia. It is managed by his father Blake and his cousin Marshall (also known as "MarsRaps"). His older brother Joshua Joseph (called "Jeebs") also became known on Youtube, especially with his series JeebsTV . His siblings can be seen in his videos from time to time. He has already dedicated several songs to his little sister Sarah Grace, who was diagnosed with Down syndrome . Including a cover version of the song "True Colors". His mother, Tawny Morris, can be seen in some music videos or interviews.
Trivia
In 2011, he starred alongside Dwayne Johnson on an episode of WWE Raw as the fictional son of John Cena .
