Miss Turkey
Miss Turkey is a national beauty pageant for unmarried women in Turkey . It was established in 1929 to determine participants for the international Miss Europe and Miss Universe competitions . He also bears the English name domestically (analogous to Miss Germany and Miss Austria ).
The fourth winner, Keriman Halis, was crowned Miss Universe in 1932 .
For many decades, the information is very sparse. It was not until 1980 that the competition was tightly organized, the Miss Turkey Organization was founded and the name Miss Turkey Pageant was registered with the Turkish Patent Office under No. 174931.
From 1980 to 1990 the competition was organized together with national daily newspapers such as Güneş , Sabah , Tercüman and Bulvar ; The national television channels Magic Box , Show TV , Kanal D and STAR TV have been involved since 1990 .
The Miss Turkey organization belongs to the Hebak Koll Sti company . Its parent company Hebak has held international licenses for participation in Miss World , Miss Universe , Miss Europe and Miss International since 1980 . In this order, the four winners of the finals are usually delegated to the international competitions (ie the winner to Miss World, the second to Miss Universe, etc.).
